well, i am learning html. i successfully posted an image in a post for my online class without using the "cheat" buttons. so that feels good. and someone explained what a name meant. i didn't understand because they just mentioned "name" but didn't explain it much because we'll learn how to do them later. but that confused me. it's over now. :D
i have written another article. i'm in the contest for harry potter articles. not my fave subject, as i'm sure you can tell by my writing. but it's good practice. and that contest is almost over. i shall be writing on a different topic soon.
oh, and i successfully threaded my sewing machine today. i had a little trouble with the bobbin threading, but i realized what i did wrong after a little while (read: an hour or so) and sewed the seam of a shirt i had un-seamed back together. next step: sleeves!

summer break
it's summer break for me finally. i have a bunch of projects that i'm working on. so expect more links to more articles that i'm writing. i'm also going to grow jalepenos, learn html and php, and create a website or two. plus keep working on my boxes. and learn to sew. and perhaps venture into the wonderful world of making bath bombs. and learn to play half life 2. and watch deadwood. i only have 4.5 weeks of vacation left, too! i better get going.
so, my latest articles:
Does JK Rowling deserve the acclaim she has received?
Book Review: The Eyre Affair
i know there is a typo in the HP one, and there is a formatting problem with the other one. i'm hoping to be able to fix those, soon, but they don't let you edit much.
i'll be keeping you guys up to date on my progress. and for the record, i added those links manually. score one for html me :D

long time!
it's been a long time since i've blogged. haven't seen anything terribly weird or humorous, which is sad.
right now i'm thinking i just may melt in this heat. and that makes me sad, too.

so, i've been writing
at this site called helium.com. so far my articles are not the most exciting topics, but i'm writing what i know. anyways, the more views my articles get, the more money i earn. so, if you would be so kind to look at my articles, that would be lovely. if you want to read them, you could do that, too. but it's not mandatory. ;)

it's a rrrrrrrrraaaaacccceeee pt 2
last weekend, well two weekends ago now, i went to san diego to be tortured. on purpose. it was a race across the bridge. you know, the very long and very steep one that connects san diego to coronado. and i knew it'd be long. i mean, i understand what 4 miles means. but i forgot how steep that thing is.

insane, right? well, i finished at 1:07, which while not great, was still ok. but there were crazy people there. like, as i was finishing the bridge, about 3/4 of the way through the race, there were people RUNNING back over the bridge. like, that's insane! and i got passed on the uphill portion of the bridge by a man carrying his 2ish year old daughter on his shoulders with the rest of his family trailing behind him, all running. instead of being shamed myself, though, i realized that they are the crazy ones.
it was fun, i wasn't too sore the next day, and i had a good time with my fam. so, yeah, it was torture, but it was fun, too
